When the path starts raising questions

Before building what you want to sell, listening to the people who will use it helps reveal where the real problem lies. Sometimes what the idea's owner thinks is important may not be what users need most.

Instead of producing everything at once, characters in the sample story invite users to share problems they have faced, note questions they cannot yet answer, and try simple prototypes. Good listening helps turn an idea from something you want to make into something others can use.

OUR COMMUNITY · Together

A good idea starts with problems that others face.

Talk with users about their work and the obstacles they face. Test the smallest thing that can solve the problem, then use what you learn to adjust the next cycle. Starting small helps you learn before investing more.

Conversations with users help separate hypotheses from what has actually been observed. Listening without rushing to offer answers opens the way to learning details not visible from the creator's perspective, and helps the next experiment address the problem more precisely.

A Message for Fellow TNI Members

Write two lists: what we want to build, and the problems users have described. Compare where they connect, then choose one problem to test before expanding the idea.

If you have an experience you would like to share, the association welcomes story ideas that could be developed into real interviews to help members from different cohorts learn from one another.
