Think and Do: a learning approach to carry with you after graduation

The concept of Monodzukuri (ものづくり), or thinking and building things, is part of TNI's learning identity. Knowledge goes hand in hand with the ability to apply it: questioning problems, testing solutions, and learning from the results, whether in technology, business, or working with people.

When you finish your studies, these ways of thinking can still be applied in your working life. We may not do projects the same way, but we still need to understand the brief, prepare data, choose methods, and develop work that meets users' or the team's needs. Learning by doing does not end with the final course.

Kaizen encourages gradual improvement, Hansei encourages self-reflection, and Seii encourages sincere work. In the alumni association context, these ways of thinking can be reflected through listening to feedback, designing better activities, and sharing experiences responsibly. We do not use Japanese words merely as decoration. We use them to point to behaviours that can be put into practice.

LIBER: Freedom to Learn — the association's values

Lifelong Learning values continuous learning. Even after graduation, we can keep building skills, exchanging lessons, and adapting to changing work. Innovation opens space for creativity and experimentation, so that existing knowledge can connect with new ways of solving problems.

Brotherhood is a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood that is not measured by graduation year alone, but is reflected through listening, sharing and mutual respect. Excellence encourages improving the quality of work and participation, while Responsibility keeps community relationships aligned with responsibility to others, society and the environment.

LIBER is the core value of the alumni association. Lifelong learning, innovation, brotherhood and sisterhood, excellence, and responsibility form the framework that connects relationships with action. We invite members to help pass on these values through activities and by caring for the community together.
