Alumni volunteers: a computer room for schoolchildren

21 computers · 1 computer room · An opportunity we build together

The flood damaged the school's learning spaces and equipment. This project therefore aims to provide replacement computers, along with electrical systems and internet network connections, so the children can return to learning and practising their skills hands-on.

Total project target

Target: 49 units. All contributions go to a single project fund to procure computers and ready-to-use systems. The number of units is a fundraising plan, not a remaining balance, and does not constitute a reservation of equipment. The system budget is a preliminary estimate based on actual costs.

How do I request a thank-you letter and donation documents?

To request a thank-you letter, select the option on the donation page, then fill in your full name, 13-digit national ID number, and address as shown on your ID card. This information is used to coordinate with the school to prepare documents matching the amount actually paid, and it will not be shown in the public donor list.

The school confirms it can issue receipts certifying the actual donation amount. The thank-you letter and tax deduction entitlement are separate. Those wishing to claim a tax deduction should contact the Association before making payment to confirm the donation channel and record-keeping that meets Revenue Department (กรมสรรพากร) criteria.

WHY IT MATTERS · 根

Why Passing It Forward Defines the TNI Spirit

In 1973, Thai people who had studied and interned in Japan returned home and founded TPA with the philosophy of “spreading knowledge and building an economic foundation.” Knowledge received must be passed on, not kept to oneself.

The Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) was born from the same shared purpose, and today fundraising is one of the association's four missions, alongside Re-Union, Seminars/Workshops, and Networking, under the mission of “supporting the institute and community.”

The Japanese have a concept called 恩送り (on-okuri), meaning passing on the kindness one has received to the next person, much like senior students who look after juniors and pass that care down from generation to generation.
