History of Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology and Alumni Association

The knowledge that our seniors brought back from Japan over 50 years ago is passed on to us today.

Summary in 30 seconds

In 1973, Thai people who had studied and trained in Japan founded the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand–Japan), or TPA, to share knowledge with Thailand’s workforce.

More than 30 years later, TPA established the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI). It received permission to establish the institute on 29 September 2006 and began teaching in the 2007 academic year.

In 2024, TNI alumni came together to establish the Alumni Association, passing on knowledge and opportunities to the next generation.

Roots of Thai-Japanese Learning

Knowledge travels, along with the intention to pass it on.

A group of Thai people who studied and trained in Japan on scholarships returned with technical skills, a mindset focused on quality, and a determination that the knowledge they gained should not end with themselves but be passed on to many Thai workers.

Why it matters to us Our story began with people returning to share what they had learned.
